Fred Binder Samuelson (1925-2015)
Illinois-born artist and architect. Lived in McAllen, Texas. Worked and painted at the Institute Allende in Mexico starting in 1955 where he became Chair and Director of Graduate Studies in Arts. He earned his BFA and MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. Exhibition venues include museums in Denver, Dallas, Acapulco, Kalamazoo, and Oklahoma City. He completed a mural for the 1968 Hemisfair in San Antonio and taught Summer classes at the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram, Texas during the 1960s, 70s & 80s.
